Want a fresh new name for your Tarnished in Elden Ring Nightreign? Good news – you can change your player name anytime you like! Here’s a quick guide on how to do it.
Steps to Change Your Player Name
Follow these simple steps to update your in-game name:
- Launch Elden Ring Nightreign and load your game.
- Head to the Roundtable Hold.
- Open the main menu.
- Navigate to the System tab (this is the leftmost tab).
- Scroll down until you see the globe icon and select Network.
- Find and select the option called “Player Name”.
- A keyboard will appear. Type in your new desired name.
- Confirm the change.
That’s it! You can change your name as often as you wish, with no limits.
Optional: Display Your Online ID Instead
If you prefer to show your platform’s online username (like your PSN ID or Xbox Gamertag) instead of your in-game name:
- Go to the same Network menu.
- Select “Display Player Names”.
- Choose to display “Online IDs”.
This will make your system’s username visible to other players.
Important Notes
- Changing your name does not affect your gameplay or progress in any way.
- There is no in-game voice chat, so your name primarily helps other players recognize you, especially in co-op.
- You can also see and add players from your recent multiplayer sessions using their online IDs.
Now go forth, Tarnished, with your new identity!
