Merge Dragons event types
Following are 4 types of events in the Merge Dragons game.
1) In-Camp Events
Play In-Camp events directly in your Merge Dragons camp to earn unique items and exclusive dragons. You’ll need at least 250 dragon power to participate in these special events.
2) Out-of-Camp Events
“Merge Dragons’ Out-of-Camp Events are your chance to earn unique items and rare dragons. Accessing these special events requires meeting evolving Dragon Power thresholds; for instance, the requirement might shift from 35 or 70 to 450 Dragon Power.
3) Seasons
These are longer events (e.g., 28 days), need more dragon powers(2000, 3000), users can play everywhere and collect rewards.

- Mid-week Mini-Events: Shorter events like “Shiny Days” (focused on tapping specific items for points) or “Race Events” (competing against bots to complete tasks in Camp) can pop up during the week.
- Seasonal Events & Royal Passes: These longer-term events (like the 28-day Royal Pass mentioned above) offer a sustained progression path.

The Joys of the Grind: Maximizing Your Event Success
No matter the event type, a few general principles will help you succeed:
- Five-Merge Rule: Always prioritize merging five items instead of three. This maximizes your output and efficiency.
- Bubble Strategically: Learning to bubble items can free up valuable space in your Camp, especially during In-Camp events where clutter can be an issue.
- Dragon Management: Keep your dragons busy! Whether it’s harvesting in an event or working on chains in Camp, active dragons mean faster progress.
- Patience and Persistence: Events can be a grind, especially the Out-of-Camp ones. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t finish immediately. Passive play and consistent merging will get you there.
- Community Resources: The Merge Dragons! community (on platforms like Reddit) is a fantastic resource for event guides, strategies, and tips from experienced players.
